“THE ROYAL GOAT FARM” has been created with a lot of love, in a unique environment, only a few kilometers outside the center of Nicosia, (at the west side of the old Nicosia Airport), in the plain of the Paliometocho area.
The establishing of the farm started about 29 years ago. It was originally planted with lemon trees, orange trees, olives and an orchard with beds of seasonal vegetables was added.
In the 4 workshops offered at the farm the visitor has the opportunity to learn how to prepare traditional products of Cyprus. At the same time, visitors can make their own products at our premises and taste them. The workshops are divided into individual workshops & interactive activities.
Educational program
The goal of this program is to provide students and teachers with hands-on experience and knowledge about the operations and production of a farm that seamlessly combines modernity with tradition. It also highlights the farm’s role in promoting a balanced and nutritious diet. The program involves a guided tour of the farm’s production facilities and lasts approximately two hours. It is suitable for school groups of all levels, with tailored content for each age group, and is led by trained staff.

During the workshop activities, the visitor has the opportunity to enjoy a rich Cypriot breakfast and drinks. Also when leaving the farm, visitors can take the products they have prepared or a product that has been prepared the day before or earlier that morning, in case it is impossible to transport the product prepared on the day of the visit.

The “Nature Workshop” is an immersive educational program hosted on our farm during school vacation periods. It is designed to provide children with carefree days filled with cooperative games and hands-on experiences in exploration, experimentation, and discovery of the land, its produce, and the diverse array of animals on the farm.
We integrate critical global environmental imperatives, such as sustainable farming practices, reducing food waste, recycling materials, embracing a circular economy, and addressing climate change, into engaging activities. These include gardening, cooking workshops, experiments, animal care, international ‘research trips,’ and utilizing the environment to promote sustainable agriculture.
Through organizing youth initiatives, historical experiments, and encouraging research in various eras, we aim to inspire children to embrace values related to food, the environment, and society.
